My name is Elizabeth “Ibby” Meeks. My love for dogs can be traced directly from my childhood. For a backdrop, I have worked in the Healthcare field since I was 19 and am currently a practicing Nurse Practitioner. I mention this as relevant because it is important to know I am instinctively driven to care for others at the highest, most caring level(s) possible. At Paws of Richmond, we want to ensure that your “furever” baby has the very best foundation (safety & health, training & socialization, etc). We want to offer you the best peace of mind for your new addition and are well seasoned and trained to give both yourself and your new family member a solid foundation for longevity and success.
Ten years ago, that instinct to love and care for others directly translated to something that would forever change my life, as I became a hobby dog breeder. Little did I know, as I began to breed and sell puppies I would become one of the most reputable breeders in Central Kentucky for the past decade. Now, in 2025, due to life’s circumstances I have moved and restarted operations in Richmond, KY.

Healthy Bloodline(s)
It is of upmost importance that my customers understand I prioritize the health and safety of all my dogs. All of my Sires/Studs are AKC/CKC Registered, Health Tested and 100% genetically cleared through both Animal Genetics & Embark. This documentation will be shared transparently with my customers. Our Featured Studs also have parents that have a consensus OFA evaluation of EXCELLENT to ensure responsible breeding, an impeccable bloodline and prioritize the health and safety of all our puppies as well as our customers studded pups.
Health/Safety 🐾
Our puppies are all raised inside our home or with our guardians. We prioritize the health of our puppies by not only providing a very clean, warm environment for feeding/nursing but by also utilizing proper Veterinary care. This always includes deworming, fecal tests and necessary vaccines before puppies are weaned. We also focus on socialization and external stimulation as we feel this is extremely important in the early stages of the puppies life as well. Our puppies go through sound desensitization and preliminary therapy dog training before going to their new home. These things combined and properly executed ensure that if you purchase a puppy from us it will give your “furever” baby the best possible foundation to thrive on every level. We do require an application for puppy placement as we want to ensure the ongoing health and needs of our fur babies.
